I have been an editor and writer for almost 20 years. I spent five years in the editorial department of Westword, Denver's alternative weekly news magazine. I have written for the Centennial_Journal and Centennial Town Journal when those papers were just starting out. I interviewed and wrote about business owners in the Denver Tech Center area for the Journals, which were sister publications. I also created hundreds of blurbs about local businesses for the Meet Your Neighbors section.

I have lived and worked in New York, Colorado, Florida, and Pennsylvania. While in Florida, I ran the advertising for a family-owned landscaping business. I wrote all the ad copy, and created the media kits. I then worked in Quality Control/Proofreaing for a vendor serving Harcourt_School_Publishers. I reviewed kindergarten through fifth-grade math, science, and social studies textbooks.

I'm married with two teenage children. My family enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, road trips, and time at the beach. Besides travel in the USA, I've been to Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Ireland, and Australia.

My interests include travel, home decorating, fashion, and entertainment. I look forward to writing about these topics for Suite 101.
